What is NLP?

NLP is a therapy that looks at how our thoughts affect our behaviour and how we can change those thoughts so we respond differently. 

The techniques and strategies used to achieve success in NLP help us to move beyond the patterns and mindsets that are holding us back.

They are quick and effective at rewiring the neurological pathways to create positive, sustainable beliefs and habits. Replacing negative, limiting beliefs and habits that don’t serve us.

It’s my job to identify which processes will help you to shift those patterns or programmes and guide you through so you achieve profound results. Helping you to make lasting changes in your life and your health so you can live your best life.

There’s a quote that reminds me of the things we do unconsciously that can hold us back, its by Ralph Waldo Emerson:

Most of the shadows of this life are caused by standing in one’s own sunshine.

It is my belief that no matter what we experience in our lives, we can empower ourselves by seeking ways to shift those shadows. NLP is an amazing tool that does just that.

How does it work?

NLP integrates the unconscious and conscious processes involved in practically everything that we do. For example, regardless of what we say we want from our careers, relationships and lives in general, many of us hold deep seated beliefs which limit these desires from coming to fruition. This is because our thoughts on certain goals in our lives are often formed in the unconscious level.

It is applicable in just about any situation that you want to improve in, from excelling at work, in sport, health and wellbeing issues, overcoming fears and anxiety, cravings and addictions, increasing motivation, focus and sense of direction.

With traumatic events, you don’t need to re live the event in the session by talking about it. We focus instead on how you want to feel and choose the right process that effects change quickly, and reduces the intensity of the feelings and behaviours triggered by the traumatic event.

With the help of NLP, you can expect to have a greater appreciation of precious moments that come into your life, of how the mind works in shaping your behaviour and how it can be changed for the better.

If you change the patterns and behaviours that are preventing you from being the best version of yourself you are more likely to come back to your natural human state of happiness and joy and be more in the flow state.

I discovered NLP in 2016 then took a short 3 day workshop soon after. I was amazed at how the changes in my thought processes made a huge difference to how I felt in my body. I felt much calmer, more present, less triggered and slept much more deeply, so therefore had more energy. 

A few years later I jumped at the opportunity to study to become an NLP Practitioner, loving it so much I completed the Master Practitioner in 2022. I continue to be amazed at how much positive change people achieve in each session.
