I live in Titirangi, West Auckland on the edge of the beautiful Waitakere ranges, close to the wonderful West Coast beaches. My love for photography, like most people, began in childhood when I developed a possessiveness for my family’s basic point and click camera whenever we went away, which was usually to the lake district and would be the only time we had film for it. I’m not sure if it was because my Mum didn’t take great photo’s or if the frustration of waiting for the film to be processed, followed by the disappointment of the images not being what I had imagined, that made me more determined to take better photos. You’ll be pleased to know I now have a wealth of experience which is constantly evolving.
Originating from the UK where I began assisting photographers in studio’s in London and on location. I then moved to Australia for 3 years and worked as a professional photographer in a commercial studio in Sydney, arriving in New Zealand in 2007. My work has been published in a number of publications in NZ, UK and Australia. Projects include work for large companies to small local businesses, artists, makers and families. I love photographing people, capturing personalities, everyday lives, the little moments and details that usually go unnoticed.
